I own a Mitsubishi Lancer (Petrol) which is 2 years old and it is an absolutely dream vehicle compared to others in the same price band.
The interiors are plush and absolute luxury with ample seating and leg space. The speed is phenomenal. I drove it at 150 kph this morning and the vehicle could have gone higher but I chickened out as my wife and kids were with me in it. At 110 kph, one actually feels that the vehicle is being driven slowly. The engine is smooth and the vehicle noiseless. Steering and the driver's seat is adjustable heightwise which is a very special feature. Driving is so pleasurable that I preferred to drive for 5.5 hours at a stretch though I had my driver along with me. It had a 10 CD changer fitted in it as part of OEM and the speakers wonderful. A.C. is very effective. If the car is parked in the sun for a prolonged period, then it is advisable to open the front two windows, switch on the a.c. and drive for about 1/2 Km before closing the windows, and you will not feel baked inside. The body is well contoured and the colour metallic green absolutely marvellous. Maintenance costs are low. Two more pluses are that at higher speeds, the steering becomes very soft and negotiating bends is easy as the rear wheels do not skid and actually take a smooth bend. It is also very sturdily built.
On the flip side, spares are very very expensive. Mileage is 9 to 9.5 per litre. But, if you can afford the vehicle, you can afford the fuel cost too.
Beware as high speeds can get you in trouble with the police, but they can't catch you in it and you may be out of range before they note your number.
