Mirzapur - Violence has a new name. Review on Mirzapur

Mirzapur a small town in between Allahabad and Varanasi has suddenly gained fame because of this Web series.The web series that really worth a watch in recent times.Violence has really earned a new name through this excellently crafted web series directed by Gurmeet Singh .The cast has been been excellently chosen and they have delivered accordingly on screen.The story starts with an incident at a wedding procession , where the groom got killed by Munna Bhaiya ( Divyenndu Sharma) aka Phulchand Tripathi the stubborn, strong headed and unworthy heir of Akhandanand Tripathi aka Kaleen Bhaiya ( Pankaj Tripathi) , the famous carpet exporter of Mirzapur , on the other hand THE BAHUBALI of Mirzapur whose main business is of selling The Katta ( desi pistols) .This incident ends up to a lawyer Ramakant Pandit ( Rajesh Tailang) who takes up the charge to take the case.His 3 siblings - Guddu Pandit ( Ali Fazal) , Bablu Pandit ( Vikrant Massey) and Dimpy Pandit ( Harshita Gaur) studies in same Gajjumal college where the reign of Munna Bhaiya continues.After the authority informs Kaleen Bhaiya about his sons massacre at the wedding and informs about the lawyer who has taken the case , Munna Bhaiya lands up in his house to teach him a lesson and to drop the case.But the incident takes a unprecedented turn and Guddu and Bablu lands up in the folds of Kaleen Bhaiya.Kaleen Bhaiya the cunning business man and gangster ropes these two youths under his shelter and hands them over the management of their Katta business.The fresh bloods thriving for an opportunity to get famous grabs the offer and starts soaking their hands with blood.Guddu , an amateur bodybuilder dreaming of Mr.Purbanchal Title and his brother Bablu a studious student take up this work like any other job.But this decision of Kaleen Bhaiya doesn't get appreciated by his son as the same way as by his so called wife Beena Tripathi ( Rashika Duggal) in the bed.Kaleen bhaiya discusses with his father , Satyanand Tripathi( Kulbhushan Kharbanda) and takes Guddu and Bablu in the carpet business where both Katta and drugs prevail and ensures no return of these two youths from this dead end.On the other hand both Guddu and Munna bhaiya shares their love interest with the same girl Sweety Gupta ( Shriya Pilgaonkar) and spice up their rivalry more.What happens next .is worth watching.The story has been knitted very well and have some really amazing moments to watch on.Acting has been outstanding by Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya , Divyenndu as Munna Bhaiya , Vikrant as Bablu and Ali Fazal as Guddu.Others are also as per character and has done justice to their roles. Special mention to Abhisekh Banerjee( The famous Hatora Tyagi of Patallok) .The story has its twists and turns that will make you glued to your seats.Infact the last episode will also pave the way for Season 2 ( which will be eagerly awaited for) Though specified Mirzapur, the shooting didn't happen in Mirzapur except for few shots of Shastri Bridge and mention of some other locations.The Brutality and Blood Shed has been immense and has been shot in raw form.Foul and strong languages has been filled up to make out the raw ness of muscle power and authenticity.Over all its a must watch .for web series viewers.One word of Caution : - If you are faint hearted and have problems in seeing blood sprinkling. please dnt watch it .Its not for you and its strictly not for children .as It earns 18+ certificate.
