I bought this Microsoft Wireless mouse 1000 in Croma, Pune almost 6 years back without any homework done. I was in need of just any wireless mouse, went and picked it up. Microsoft brand and the price around 500 INR made the buying decision to be made faster. I came in a nice but simple packing.
It came with one Duracell battery, nano receiver(very small USB adaptor) and a small booklet. Mouse has very right size and perfectly fits in, it has a small switch to switch-off the mouse when not in use to conserve the battery, the bottom cover when opened allows one to put a single AA battery and it has a small space to put the nano receiver as well inside, next to the battery making it easier to keep it safe and protects us from losing the nano receiver.
I am writing this review after using this mouse for almost more than 6 years, after buying the same mouse for three times for my kids. It is one of the best mouse I have ever seen and this is the only mouse to my knowledge that works on all surface including glass, which even other very expensive mouse including those from same Microsoft fails. In addition to working on all surfaces, it also provides more than 8 months of battery life(of course with Duracell).
It never asked for any drivers, snap-in installation in all operating systems, great price, amazing quality and features, excellent battery life all makes this mouse one of the best. The wireless coverage is again one of the best, during presentations even in bigger halls and conference rooms I just use this mouse moving around everywhere away from my laptop and use it with ease to move the slides and as pointer! Highly recommended!
