I finally took a deep breath and bought the Micromax Ninja A 89 out of despair. Why? In yet another moment of anger, I flung my Samsung Galaxy S2 across the living room and it landed on the marble floor with a shattered screen. It also bounced twice. :(

Upon checking, it would cost me 7500 to change the LCD and Display. That was steep. Not wanting to risk it, I settled in for a cheaper Android phone, the Micromax Ninja A89. And I must say that I am quiet impressed.

It is a climb down from an S2 to a Micromax so I will always have my discomforts with this phone. For e.g. I am now typing faster than the phone can take. Hence I end up deleting and typing again. I mean to say that I was faster on the S2 keyboard but the results vary here. :(

Let me tell you something about this phone... at 6, 500 bucks a piece, this phone is a steal. It has a 1Ghz Dual Core Processor which is pretty fast. It comes with ICS 4.0... Not bad. The 10.1 cm display is almost the same size as the S2, slightly smaller in fact. The display is smooth and feels good on the eyes and the fingers when using the phone.

It has 3g, wifi... 2 of the most important things that one can ask for today. A flash could have helped but otherwise, the 3 MP FF Camera ain't that bad. Though I do not prefer using a flash, but that nights it becomes handy. The battery could have been a little more powerful than 1450mAH which is the worse part of this phone. The phone will not last more than 5 - 6 hours (depending on usage).

But all in all, the phone, at the price at which it comes, has impressed me. It is a good phone for people with a limited budget to use the same features that the high end Galaxy and HTC models have to offer. I am sure the Canvas HD must be worth a buy at 16000 bucks. We'll see
