M2 is a good buy but customer service ain't. Review on Micromax M2

Micromax M2 has been the best phone I've ever used..! No, this is no exaggeration but it's a very honest opinion from a gadget lover. I bought this phone as a replacement of my Samsung Xcover and found it to be an amazing product. I searched in google for the best music phones under 5k and found this one mentioned on the top of the list. It had dual sim, it had a buntled in dome headset and what more..? it was only priced at 1999..!! * *I went on reading the reviews and was convinced eventually when I saw a positive review by Rajeev Makhni from NDTV. Bought the phone from snapdeal at the above mentioned price and after using it for almost 4 months I'm really impressed with its performance. What's so special about it..? LET'S FIND OUT...

First things first my initial expectations from the phone were minimal -- I only wanted a good music phone with dual sim and to be honest I underrated Micromax to that of a karbonn or a videocon. To be more precise I didn't knew that the Brand Micromax has evolved out of nowhere and has some excellent phones including couple of brilliant android touch phones ( I've tried their Android phones as well). What does M2 has to offer..?? Here are the features of this phone

The Micromax M2 has a Gun metal finish. There was two colors in offer, i.e., Grey and Yellow and mine is Yellow. I preferred yellow over Grey because I thought the former had more attraction value. It has Dual SIM. it's lightweight (around 75grms) and It has an excellent call quality. The screen is excellent, having good viewings from all the angles. The phone menu is fast and easy to use -- With the help of touchwheel you can easily run through the menu. But the real surprise for me came in the form of Music. *For a phone priced at 2000 it's music quality is unbelievably good..!! I believe Micromax made this phone for music only -- Obviously from its name "M2" that's what one can assume. For a music phone it has two unique features -- firstly there is a touchwheel resembling the apple Ipod touchwheel and secondly a **3.5mm Jack..!! Remember you rarely find music phones with 3.5mm jack at such a low price as this one. The *box has two headsets included --

1. The ordinary headset and 2.A terrific dome headset which may be worth of half the price of the phone..!! The Battery backup is decent at 2 days of standby, which is pretty good considering that it's a music phone with dual sim. The camera looked pretty dull initially when I took photos with it but hang on -- when I copied the pictures into my computer I had the shock of my life..!! For a 2 mega pixel priced at just 2000 rs you can't get a better camera than this*.. *I think it's the best 2 mega pixel available in the market..!

I did mention at the start of the review that I've been using this phone for almost 4 months. And using it for that many days I found a couple minor hiccups* in the phone. First of all it's touchwheel gets non-responsive at times but this problem gets fixed when you restart the phone. Secondly **It doesn't have a slot for memory card which means you only get to use the allotted inbuilt storage space of 2GB only. It may be a serious black mark for some but I say never mind these little issues.

So that's it's then.. That's my review of Micromax M2. I hope you've enjoyed it. A fantastic phone with fantastic set of features at a fantastic price..!!* I recommend you to buy this phone especially if you are looking for a music phone priced under 5000. *~ Enjoy ~
