I brought this android phone 3-4 months ago when all the canvas series was in full swing. I actually wanted to buy one of the canvas series phone, but unfortunately on my birthday I was gifted this android cell phone. I would say that this cell phone is basic and there isn't anything that can be said Woww about this phone, but its neither this bad too. A mixed bag of feelings there for this phone. Faced few problems as well and at times overcome many difficulties that others have faced in this brand. The question still remains unanswered that whether one should go for this phone or not.

After constant use of it maybe, I might say that 40-60 ratio can be perfect i.e. 40% that one should buy it and 60% opposing it.

Features of this phone

The looks are very good and looking at the look only my uncle bought me this phone as I was longing for good cell phone since very long.

It support 2G as well as 3G, although I haven't tried 3G I doubt its working, but does not matter to me anyways as I don't use it at all.

Dual sim, nowadays it's crime not possessing a phone which is dual sim. Majority of people use one sim for calling and phone related stuffs and other sim for internet related purpose. I use Vodafone for calling and phone related purpose and other sim which is idea provider for net related purpose. No issues till now for net related purpose. Browsing and all is smooth. Handling the dual sim functionality is quite smooth.

The screen size is descent, at least it's better than owning a 5-inches screen and roaming with it around, and this easily fits the pocket. Wish the screen could have been a bit bigger around 4-inch, but no issues.

The keypad is quite descent and worth working with, but multi-tasking avoid me to like this feature. Multi-tasking is a pain so I prefer using one thing at a time. Anyway, we can expect much from a android which has low processing speed.

Data synching is very simple, I have synced my twitter and Facebook.

Pros

I would say that this android is good but when compared to other phones in the market I wish I had a better version. Still I can't face away from the fact that the phone has pros.

Battery life is better than what I had expected. Normally androids have a bad battery life and especially the low brand phones like micromax, karbonn, lava. I need to charge this phone after one and half day, which I feel is good because I've seen many friends on mine who charge their phones daily.

Responsive touch screen but when multi-tasked the phone becomes too slow in terms of response and gives a feeling of not to work with. I have upgraded the phone from gingerbread to ICS and this has helped me as now the response is a bite quicker than what it was previously.

The phone is quite stylish and not only my uncle but even I liked the phone appeal. Its something different and out of the box. Basically these days all the phone are near look-alike but this one is designed very nicely.

The phone comes with A.I.S.H.A interactive speech recognition application which is good and pretty descent.

Cons

While charging the phone the battery heats up like anything, and at times I feel it will explode and so I don't let the phone over charge.

Multi-tasking is very bad and the fun is spoiled here, although upgrading might help in a way but not help drastically. Low processor speed is the main reason that spoils the mood while multi-tasking.

I wonder at times that do I possess a phone which has 5 mp camera ? Yes, it's just for name sake that the phone claims that it has 5 MP camera. It's as good as 2 MP or even worse than that. I like clicking images of myself, my friends, relative etc and that is the main reason that I hate this phone as the pics come totally blurred. Everyone has commented the same stating that the camera is a spoilsport.

This phone is good for start-up android user but not for people who want advanced functions in less cost.

Low end games do work well but after paying around 6.5 k one can't expect much. So it's comfortable on low end gaming but if you prefer high end gaming then better go for some other phone.

What's app and rest basic apps runs nicely although, still I would refrain anyone from buying such phone as there are more better phone.

The pricing is quite OK kind of, I had bought it for 6.5 k with discount. But now it's gone more down somewhere around 6.2 k.

Final verdict

This phone is good for start up user, but people who have used high end phones beware as this will bug you surely. Still in doubt whether I should recommend this phone to my friends or no? I feel a NO would be a better choice.

Hope my first review help everyone who wishes to buy this phone. If any queries than you can ask me here itself, Ill be glad to help everyone.
