To be fair these guys started off very well when they had few takers. I guess it was more manageable for them and they had the hunger to make a mark. Then came a phase when they were always booked and you were expressed regret on unavailability of vehicles.
Now a stage a come where it has become worse than a black & white cab in Mumbai or even a private cab in Delhi. I am sure you can't get worse than that.
Not only I have suffered with drivers not turning up but they make it worse by keeping you on suspense mode till you miss your appointment or flight. Simply no response on the mobile phone.
Next comes the attitude which has changed dramatically. Maybe they know there is a huge que. Simply intolerable.
Biggest shock I have experienced is extorting money with unreasonable demands as per the time of the day and situations. I had this gentleman from Surat who came to the passport office in Colaba from Mumbai airport and guess what he had to shell out. Whopping Rs. 700/-. Bystanders literally thrashed this Meru driver for fleecing.
No amount of complaining will help you or bring you consolation as they DON'T CARE.
Now I have got the best solutionj. AVOIDMERU AND CATCH YOUR APPOINTMENTS, FLIGHTS and dignity intact and on time.
