'We don't have any control over the situation we face but we have complete control over our reaction to the situation' ~ Unknown.

Having quoted that, to be precise that's what I felt after watching this flick.

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan certainly has an expected storyline but the execution of the plot is what makes it worth watching.

Story:

Luv (Ali Zafar) after his dramatic breakup with Pyali (Tara D’souza) decides that it high time and now he should get married. He wants his younger brother, Kush (Imran Khan) to search Dulhan for him. His father’s (Retired Colonel) entry and the background score all throughout shouldn’t be missed.

Soon the hunt for the Dulhan begins which reminds us of the groom hunt in Namastey London. After giving up on this technique they decide upon publishing a matrimonial advertisement. This bear fruit when they get a call from a personnel working in Indian Foreign Ministry.

Now we are finally introduced to the actual Dulhan we were waiting to see. Entry of Dimple and this scene is very well executed…! Kush already met Dimple 5 years ago, when she was bindaas and now she is all set to marry traditionally.

When the movie was reaching its intermission point I felt it might be just for 90 minutes as till then the story went on in the expected manner and I eagerly waiting for its second half. The second half though was a bit dragging it kept me hooked.

Luv's entry and Dimple’s realization of love (ofcourse not with Luv :P) for Kush and vice versa takes the story forward. Kush is against Dimple’s idea of eloping and Dimple wants to marry him by hook or crook. Kush now takes the situation in control and manages it.

Watch this one to find out How well Kush Controls the Situation and whether he marries his LadyLuv or Not :P

My Take:

There are a few aspects in the movie which at times are missing or are added just for the heck of adding for instance John Abraham's special appearance which went unnoticed.

Katrina, Ali Zafar did a decent job but its Imran Khan who according to me has done his best...!

The movie might remind you of Jab We Met, Namastey London but it does have a fresh appeal and amuses you in almost every scene. It is a light family entertainer, a movie that might leave you smiling at its simplicity.

Do catch up with this one soon!

Have a Great Week Ahead..!
