The restirant mehfil is actually is a eating place on ground level which is a good place to eat but a little small so you have to wait a little to have a seat. it did't serve any liqure till 2001, after that to make a dent in this category it opened a PUB in its basement to serve bear and other drinks. the pun is actually named as THE ENGLISH GARDEN and belongs to the same owners. the ambience of the pub is very good and very very lively. a very large space dispite being in the basement. the seating arrangement is very unique. you can have a round centre table which conered by a roof and can sit in a circle with your friends in the centre of the pub not like where you have to sit on a long rectangular table. ni waiting as the place is big enough. the place brought the concept of big screen in a pub in chandigarh as it was the first one to do so. we wathched many matches on that while enjoying our drinks. quality of food is good and service is aldo ok. on the prices front is is on par with most of the other pubs in chandigarh like The down under, The Khyber for drinks but the food is a bit expensive. in all a place worth going. a place to go with your friends to have fun with. best for large groups and friendly get togthers. no kids please.
