Dear friends I would suggest you to avoid ordering from Meesho unless absolutely necessary. Dealing with their delivery and customer service has been my worst and most frustrating experience ever. Every time I order from them, there's a major problem. They often send out-of-date products, and their delivery personnel claim to have attempted delivery when I've been waiting at home for days. Today was the final straw, and I've decided to never deal with this horrible company again.
Recently, I ordered two bottles of sauce that weren't available elsewhere. Ordering from Meesho is always harder because, unlike other platforms, they never accept my credit card. This means I have to be home with exact change for delivery. My order was supposed to arrive on January 4th. Twice, Hindi-speaking delivery personnel called me for directions. I offered to send my location via WhatsApp, but they couldn't access the app. Then they demanded an OTP before delivering the package, which I never received. When there's a language barrier, why don't they assign an English-speaking supervisor to handle the delivery?
I found Meesho's customer service contact info and emailed them, suggesting they allow me to send my exact location. I even provided my landlord's number to help with directions in Hindi.
Later yesterday, I received a call from an English-speaking delivery person who knew my location and claimed to be on the way. But the package never arrived, and around 7 pm, I received a text saying it was rescheduled for today.
I woke up early to get my shower, as I'd been unable to do anything since the 4th because of this waiting. I had to cancel my daily activities, including walks, time on the roof in the sun, and even making cookies for a party. Everything was put on hold because I had to be here, cash in hand, to accept this package. They couldn't just leave it at the door, even though Discovery School Road is easily found on map apps. Why don't delivery personnel have access to these apps?
I called customer service and complained right after receiving the 7 am text. They said sorry, but the package had already been returned due to three failed delivery attempts, and I'd have to reorder.
I'm completely fed up with Meesho and their delivery service. I'd rather avoid placing another order with this totally mismanaged company.
The only time Meesho provided anything close to good service was when I ordered a bookcase and a moving company showed up several days early with the delivery. However, they didn't unbox it or take the box away, causing another inconvenience for me.
