I had visited mawsysram once .Though this place is known as the place receiving the highest amount of rainfall but the place will deject you ,disappoint you .We went there on a winter day .Only orange trees can be found .This village is small and has two things to visit .There is a cave in this village .We came here by taxi from shillong .The road is very badly broken .The cave is down the road .nobody goes there .The stairs are broken .Once we got down we saw a mould of stone and nothing .The guide told us there five streams are flowing .We heard a purling sound .We tried to find out but nothing could be traced out .The place is bogus .We then went to a hot spring named Jakrem Falls .Please be careful while reading .This place is extremely dangerous and especially for women .There is a hot spring but it is very small .The natural beauty is zero .You can not find visible mountains .There is no safety and security .Open eveteasing and lewd comments are passed against any women irrespective their ages .We saw the hot spring is so thin like that of a puddle .We didn't find any police or restaurant .No arrangement for water is there .Even after bathing there is no room for changing clothes .You will find algae and weeds on the road .The place is stinking and people openly urinate and defecate there .Believe me .No police or personnel is there .If you don't keep your taxi ,no vehicle can be found .There is neither a hotel nor a motel .Anytime you might fall prey to snatchers or robbers .Be careful .I myself went .It is bogus .No nice place of interest you will find .Don't go.
