For last two years I am working in remote place. My bungalow is is about 4 kilo meters from my factory. Every day I drive through the road which leads to a colliery, is a mockery of the road the pot holes are as large as moon craters and the ridges even the dumpers find them difficult to negotiate but one has to go home !
I always thought tat Ambassador is the only thing which I can use, so I used to drive a Ambassador ISZ with 1800 cc engine, I used it for about a year and every other day the mechanic had to work on it and I had to pay a hefty repair bill, and petrol oh God ! I used to guzzle.
Then my company sent me a Zen. I was very skeptical, this small cutie in this road, it won’t last long. In my utter astonishment I found, that the car is real toughie with much more negotiation power it was very quite comfortable to drive even in that road. Though it gets occasional bump in the bottom but I have not sent it to mechanic yet.
Undoubtedly Zen is an excellent piece of engineering, high fuel efficiency coupled with comfort and very good maneuverability I feel this is the car for India.
