Hi!

Maruti Suzuki Dzire 2017 VDI is not an Optimal choice because it doesn't provides you Road Safety, Power, Comfort, Boot Space and the overall value for money.

#1. Leg Room: The second row passenger even if 5.8" won't be very happy with the Leg Room space provided. You'll get uneasy on a short trip forget about the longer ones.

#2. Dealer Satisfaction: Dealer Satisfaction is something that doesn't depend all upon dealer it depends upon how much you know about cars. Dealers only plays with the feature on paper. They in actual knows very little about the exact vehicle under the hood. My dealer knows me well and know how to handle him and other like him. Dealers should not influence you in any way you should make yourself informed about the almost all the facts about vehicle before coming to them if not they'll make you believe what you want to hear and you cannot check many things on the spot. After buy vehicle you should personally go to see that you car is being serviced properly because the change of Engine oil, brake oil, clutch oil and Power steering fluid is something you need to keep an eye on. Engine Air intake filter is also you have to see yourself getting replaced. Not matter how well you know a Dealer or how well they behave with you. Do not trust them. They all are cheater. I was cheated and I have caught them many times. Dealer Satisfaction is something you should believe in you have to make yourself more aware about vehicle in actual else you will be only listen pleasant words.

#3. Mileage: It's a mileage is something all people talk about and on Highway it gave around 24-25 KM/L though company claims it to be 28 KM/L but it's not that much. In city you'll get above 15 and less than 20 KM/L it depends in how much traffic you are driving. It has a 1248 CC with a Fuel tank of 37 Liters this's capacity is reduced from the predecessor models. It's a 4 cylinder engine. It's pick-up is not very best but once Engine operates at higher gear then you'll not feel any lag in power.

#4. Comfort: Honestly it's not suited for 5 passengers for a long ride. You won't feel comfortable and specially passenger on the back seat might wanting to request you to stop so that they can stretch their legs a bit. This happens with me and I had to make a stop to refresh the passenger because the width of car is 1.7 Meter and when you measure is on the actual seat area than it's not even 1.5 Meter. More bad is that Rear suspension are Torsion beams not same as Front suspension which are struts. On a new car this won't make much noticeable difference but this difference is clear when you have normal weighing people sitting in car and when you are on a hit a pot hole. You loses control. Head room is just enough.

#5. Reliability: You cannot rely on the car because their in nothing best quality under the hood. You'll see cheap electrical wiring done and housed in a cheap PVC black colored pipe that has many punctures. Water, dust and everything else can get inside as more and more you use the car. There's not metal protection sheet under the Engine base to protect the Engine base from hitting anything. It has low ground clearance around 160 CM this is reduced when you have all 5 passenger sitting and spare tire and with a full fuel tank. Suspension for the rear is not struts and this is not good for a longer run. Fuses that are used in car is very low quality, fuses gets burnt when you drive car on longer run. I had to replace taillight fuse, audio fuse. Hand brake wire loses with you drive on higher terrain and apply it to hold your cars weight. Initially they loses and you need to tighten them with a ratchet and then if gets elongated. You'll find that Maruti Suzuki uses very cheap brand hand-brakes wire and by the time you face this issue you can check the brake shoes also. They're also of inferior quality. Another bad and insane thing is that brake switch it's located on the brake pedal when you press break this switch gets ON and brake light turn ON. The brake switch malfunction is something you won't notice but in this model I had this twice already and I have only around 25000 KM run. Failure of Brake light is something you do not have an alert for or you notice but it's very important.

#6. Appeal: This has a very appealing looks but looks are deceptive as under the hood you're getting under 1300 CC 4 cylinder Engine which is not best Economically and costing is very high as compared to it's Petrol counterpart and you can only recover it if you have very high running.

Conclusion: This all new Swift Dzire is just change in front grill and bumper design and little bit here and there. It looks stunning but it not value for money. As you can get much more for same money from Maruti's competitor. I would suggest you check other cars too along with the features and price. This model does not have ABS even in VDI model. You only need to by ZDI for this. Car look solid in look but low ground clearance make it very susceptible to hit the chassis on a speed braker or pot hole, etc. Head light are not Xenon and you'll feel the reach is not perfect for Night driving. It's not good for people that had to drive a lot. I do not feel it is the best in class or even close.
