Celerio AMT- Good tension free strictly city car. . Review on Maruti Suzuki Celerio

As I have stated in my last review on duster, now I have taken delivery of my Celerio AMT. I would like you to read this review in a mind set of a duster owner. I have run the celerio about 600 kms now after 15 days of delivery. It is a cute little perfect city car. Advantages:

1. No tension of changing gear. And no clutch. I am sure, it will be the dream of All the duster owner's who clock more than 2000kms per month.

   
   




2. Easy to zap in city bumper to bumper traffic

   
   




3. Good pick up

   
   




4. Decent boot space, I will say better than swift .

   
   




5. Till now, it is showing 14.5kms/lit as average mileage in dial, which is very decent for a petrol automatic.

   
   




6. Cabin is quite airy and simple and neat.

   
   




7. Body line is plain and easy to drive in cut throat traffic.

   
   




8. Finding a parking space is very easy compared to duster.

   
   




9. Good ground clearance.

   
   




10. Not much of undulations driving on pot holes.

    
    

Dis-advantage:

1. Car is light weight. Some times I feel the car is not stopping even after immediate braking at a speed more than 80kph.

   
   




2. Plastic quality is average

   
   




3. No music system, ABS, Airbag , Bluetooth in AMT model. No electronic adjustment of mirrors.

   
   




4. Body metal is not that stiff / hard.

   
   




5. The window seems to be bit high which hinders the overall road view.

   
   




6. Front right pillar hampers the right side road view greatly.

   
   




7. Back seat is ok which can seat two comfortably.

   
   

So, comparing all the cons, the pleasure it gives you as an automatic at this cost really eats up all the dis-advantages. I don't find the gear shift so jerky as we know for fact, this is not a conventional automatic and it is a Manual transmission only. There is a jerk , equal amount of what we will experience in a manual vehicle which is very much common.

Overall, I like this car very much which has given me a time saving of 10-15 mins over duster to wherever I travel inside city. There is a Manual mode too where we can change gears. But what's the fun in buying an automatic. I still never used that mode and just happy with the auto mode. May be it should be useful in climbing hilly areas.

Overall, if you see this car for city use, it is perfect. May be you can take it 15-20 kms outside city limits. But, if you looking for a NH rider, you got to change your mind. This car is strictly for city use. My requirement is met by buying this car.
