Will it affect the performance and maintenance cost in future in 800cc engine(Maruti Alto LX) for 6 members and 2 kids family for long journey

How will be the fuel efficiency and maintenance cost for next 5 years specially for long journey.I need honest answer in order to tackle the problems in future or change the plan iteself. I know it is family car and seen so many people using it roughly with out any problem but fact is fact
