Hello People!!!
After my victory in getting the Mouth Shut Team to get Marat Safin in the tennis players section, here I am with the Russian whose better than the hi-fi Kalashnikov rifles, who will beat Stalin in being ruthless (on court that is) who cannot be beaten but its him whose responsible for his downfall.
For all those people who are not aware of him, he recently came into news for winning the prestigious Davis Cup crown for his country. And otherwise if you are well versed with tennis or even in touch he was the vivacious 20 year old dude who smashed away Sampras from the court in the US Open in Flushing Meadows, New York. The match was so dominated by him, that Sampras had to admit that he was shocked that he was unable to do anything.
The guy was born in Russia, resides in Monte Carlo like many major personalities (for facts I’ve heard it’s the highest tax paying country in the world). Due to poor financial assistance for tennis in Russia (I mean like yeah and we thought it was a Super Power and all and in the UN Security Council and all ) he moved to Spain for his training. Man me and Spaniards are suppose to clash somewhere somehow. So anyways he learnt his early tennis from his mom later on moved to Spain and had a girlfriend there, ditched her when he became all hep and all ( yeah man that’s what all guys do) and the story goes on of his success
He became a professional tennis player in 98 and by 2000 he was termed by ATP (assosciation of tennis professionals) as the young player of the year. During the same year he had won some 7 tournaments I the year the highest by far in that year on the circuit. However could not finish number one because of some Brazilian dude known as Guga (better known as Gustavo Kuerten) anyway as if I care.
So Safin is like considered the future of tennis, he’s now gonna turn 23 in January and he’s already established himself as in the league of Hewitt, Federer and all. By the way he’s far better than Hewitt he beat him fair and square in Bercy, Paris (Tennis Masters Series events) and yeah for all the Ozzies who will read this yeah I know Hewitt beat him in Shanghai (but as if)
So I’m just happy that I was able to instigate and share some of knowledge about this guy from Russia. By the way if you look at him, I personally feel he should have been in the KGb or something. He’s got a way around women. He’s not so fluent with English. But if you hear Russians speak English you would either laugh hysterically or may be you would think its some person who is hypnotizing you. The guy is great , he says what he feels and he never denies the fact that he messed up which I feel some people on the circuit think or make statements like (oh you see I did not lose the match he won the match and yeah I did not play badly , I played well but he was just lucky) to all such people in the men’s tennis circuit GET A LIFE!!!!!
MARAT RULZZZZ!!!! And hey to end I’ll end with a statement that Marat made on when the press asked him how does he feel after winning the Davis Cup and he said -
“I'm so happy, I'm so glad. I cannot describe what I'm feeling right now. It's just something that is just so great, it's the best. Better than sex, you can say that (smiling).”
Awwwwwwwww http://www. I know, the guy is crazy. He thinks winning a tennis match for his country is better than sex. Is this guy weird or what? Remember, he’s Russian, he can be available on ESPN & Star Sports and yeah now a days on DD Sports they are showing the Davis Cup.
