Become a Doctor and a Consultant in some Famous (Interpretaion reqd) Hospital Like Manipal Hospital..
Personal Experience. There was a fall - Severe Pain - Went to Manipal hospital Why heard from some campaigners that this is best hospital in town. The usual stuff was done as expected Painkillers and Xray. After observing Xray and Patient, we were advised rest for One Week. Eveything was fine and in a weeks to 10 days time all was fine.
2 Months later Pain Increases. We went to Ortho ..Doctors were confused..they do not want to listen to us. There was severe pain and a Buckling sensation in the Knee. This was the exact term we used..Nobody gave a damn to the knee..everybody was interested in the Lower back where the fall had affected..and kept reassuring us..well you see everything is fine..this will be ok..so dont worry..what do we know..we still thought doctors knew better (later I knew what they knew)...they will ask you to come exactly after 10 days..(if u come for a revisit within ten days..no consultation fee)..
3 more months no improvement - knee getting worse..still doctors say no problem with knee..back is the problem..now the comedy starts Ortho was confused - so sent to neuro. Neuro Got Confused so sent us to vascular..vascular got confused so sent us back to ortho..then ortho said well we can try an epidural injection..ok lets try..you had to spend about 3k and spend the day in the hosp..
This is cherry on the cake.. The matron my god was a bh...she was screaming at the patients...sometimes insulting them..there was one godforsaken nurse who came down to inject drips..i have to tell you it was pathetically painful..when we said this, this was the response ''It will ba painful only what to do you have to bear''. The same thing said in a friendly tone would have made a difference..Oh now what..blood is flowing into the drips bottle..now they realise and come and tell us Oh we might have made a mistake..
almost one year later we decide enough is enough and go to Madras. We met one of the best Orthopaedic surgeons in the country..He operated upon the knee for a torn cartilage and things are very much better now..
Sometimes I feel MunnaBhai would have made a better doctor
One more thing..UHC- I am sure you must know who they are, recently removed manipal hospital from theiir affiliate programs..(Maybe they found out what corruptions happen there).. Well if you all have lots of money and dont give a damn to your health Manipal should be your first choice..
