Story:

R.K.Narayan is a celebrated writer. He is one fo the very few writers in English in 1930's and 40's.His books are widely appreciated and published in other countries before their first publication in india.

He wrote about the happening things during his days with such meticulous particulars that one would be astonished how he kept abreast of varoius topics in those days itself. He wrote about II world war, family planning initiatives of government, the co operative banks and every thing which was new during his days be it technological or legal matters.

His skill in analysing the various perceptions and thought waves and confusing phylosophies of the poeple living around him in his various books is noteworthy.

I have recently read his ''The Financial Expert''.The book was published in 5 countries before it was published in India. What a narrative was it.i felt like seeing a documentary picture on Tv at times. At times I have gone along with the author into the mind layers of his hero and apathised with him.

The story is about a common man who could make a living out of small financing business .Later he grows rich with other business and resumes financing in big way.It would be amusing to read about his business mind and his smart way of dealing with villagers.Add to that all the Narayans specialities. it made a good reading.

The lead role behaves so foolish in the end inspite of his financial prudence through out the story by accepted deposits at 20% interest while the prevailing bank rate was only 3%.It's one thing if the hero has an idea to collect all the money and put IP at some stage. But he never showed such signs-like transferring his assets to the name of his son or daughter-in-law e.tc.The last stage of Here represents the psyche of present day scamsters who know that one day or other their bubble is going to be busted but still continue with their choosen track since they cannot come out of ot.
