Going for Rodeo SYM was one of the worst decision of my life in terms of buying any product. I had three option to choose from but I chose Rodeo 125 cc scooty.
I had the option of Blaze, Activa or Rodeo but I preferred Rodeo 4 years ago. Wish I could change my decision as now every servicing that I do it costs me roughly around 2000 bucks. Not that before this everything was fine but now it's more worse altogether. The only reason that I didn't go for Blaze or Activa was because my parents thought it was way too bulky for me.
I have faced almost all types of problem in this scooty. Be it battery problem, mileage problem, digital console not working etc.
It's been over 4 years using this scooty. I would recommend people to go for Activa or Dio or even Vespa which looks very pretty.
Initially my rodeo used to give me very less mileage, adhering to the fact that for the first 1000 km I didn't race over 40kmph. Now too at times my scooty gives an average of somewhere around 30 kms, whereas Mahindra Co claims somewhere around 40-45 kms.
I'm looking to sell my scooty off. It's really a burden to maintain this scooty.
Even the service center aren't upto the mark, so this can be a point to consider incase anyone planning to buy vespa. Inspite servicing the scooty I still face the same issues then what's the use of service centers?
Fuel Consumption(kms/litre): After 4 years anyone would understand the performance to degrade but it has degraded drastically from 40 kms/ltr to 25-30 kms/ltr and considering the hike in petrol I'm better off selling this off.
Comfort: This is maybe one of the rare positives to take from this scooty. It has good comfort while riding provided you ride within limits. You can't ride upto 80-90 km/hr and expect it to give you high level of comfort. As per me the only scooty that gives good level of comfort at 90 km/hr is Activa.
Reliability: This scooty isn't reliable as since past 2-3 years I'm bearing the expenses and feel as if this one is a burden. The body parts are descent enough though.
Handling and Control: The Handling and Control is average. As compared to other scooty it's ok and not that great.
Looks: Looks wise there are many other scooty that give premium feel ie Vespa& Dio have good looks.
Final Verdict: If your looking for a scooty where in you ride it once or twice in a week than this is a descent option but it's average is it's major concern. If you aren't having any problem to refill your petrol tank than you can opt for it.
