I am using electric service from this company since 11 Years just because this is the only company who transmit electricity in Pune. No other private company is there in city. However, recently, I received bill of 19000 rs which I usually get for around 400 Rs only for a month. All of sudden, this kind of bill has come. When I contacted them, they told me that my meter is faulty since last 1 year and even they are mentioning in Bill. I never noticed "faulty" word on bill because I have made the payment as auto debit from Bank.
The question is that if they come to know that my meter is faulty then why these people not taken action since last 1 year. what they were waiting for. However, my amount was already debited which I was not ready for such debit from bank. I asked them to get it replaced. Since last 2 weeks, there is no response from them. Now I am taking leave from my office and chase behind of such people. No clue what bill I will received from them after a month. I just cancelled my auto debit from bank.
Why can't we have another option of such basic need such as electricity? Monopoly is not good for long run.
