Mahabalipuram is a coastal town located in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is famous for shore temple and pancha rathas. It is accessible by air, road and railways via Chennai. This site is located exactly between Pondicherry and Chennai. There are several sightseeing places in this coastal town. There are plenty of options for hotels/accommodation. The town is dotted with several beach resorts. It is completely safe to be in this town. The locals are friendly. A must visit place to learn the history of our ancient India. It is frequented by tourists across the world and it is one of the world's UNESCO heritage site.
