Generations of people have grown up eating maggie regularly. it has been a favourite snack across all age groups.
A huge MNC like Nestle which has its whole brand equity on food products may not afford to be careless regarding quality control. yet maggie was banned.
Tests conducted on indian samples of various batches at renowned labs in India, UK, Canada all found maggie to be safe for human consumption, while tests conducted by govt agencies came up with mixed results or high lead content. anyways, maggie was banned.
speculations suggested some vested interests working to either malign the company name or working to conqure this lucrative fast food market segment by toppling the undisputed leader is its segment. eitherways, the leader was banned.
to add fuel to speculation, government backed godman turned business man launches his own brand of noodles, timing his product launch to perfection while there is a vaccum in market for this product.
