The srilankans have never looked back after winnig the 96 world cup..the srilankan juggernaut has been on a roll..and the main contributor to the teams success against all the world class teams is one man..it is muthiah muralitharan..he has come a long way after being called for chucking in the australian tour..this man always being under controversies manages to perform..he may be a smiling face on the field..but the sight of murali taking the ball in the hand holds a scene of terror in the batsman's mind..

in the recently concluded test series between srilanka and westindies,srinlanka whitewashed the windies..well west indies may not be the team it once was but it still had brian lara and carl hooper..and it still had to be defeated..well srilanka truly outplayed west indies in every form of the game..may it be batting fielding or bowling..but major problem for the caribbeans was that they could not handle muthiah muralithran..the spin wizard..this man amazes everyone with his breathtaking bowling..he can single handedly destroy any batting line up in the world..even indians who are regarded as the players if spin find it hard to read this willy offspinner..

he got a lot of variety in his armour..he has got the dangerous away going delivery which no one has ever been able to decipher..and there is the quicker one which he uses every now and then..and man he so very accurate..u can hardly pad him up..and his consistency is amazing..think he gets atleast 6wickets per match..and in the ongoing test aginst zimbabwe he just missed the perfect ten..now he is the 7th highest wicket taker in the world..it will be a matter of time before he reaches the magic figure of 500.and guess what??he alredy has a tally of 391 wicklets from 70 matches..mind blowing statistics isn't it?.and not only that he is an excellent fielder..he is the most athletic of the srilankan fielders..he hardly lets his captain down..

with vaas coming of age in recent times the srilankan bowling attack holds a real deadly look..watch out steve u will have to play ur skins out to beat the srilankans..the team u once u refused to play are raring to have a go at you and I have heard that an injured tiger is very .very dangerous.
