Love Is Eternal. Review on Love Aaj Kal

Plot: Movie is set out in UK to showcase that producer is filthy rich (Illuminati- who got spiritualistic enlightenment here?) Story is about a young man JAI (Play Safe), an old man VEERU (Rishi) and cute-hot MEERA (Deepika). Movie begins with Meera-Jai hitting on each other with naughty one liner, in some case there were two as well just to pile on. For at least fifteen minutes, you won’t see there lips ajar for they have been smiling and just smiling. Turn around in theatre and you could see everyone smiling and glued to the screen. I told you naa smiles are contagious!! Then, they get involved in their work and frankly speaking what Jai was doing was beyond my comprehension. Finally, they break up after half an hour and celebrate their separation (Hmmm! That reminds me of Kareena Shaahid debacle) Here at this moment, please welcome Veeru (Santa Singh) who is offering his advice Free! Free! Free!! (Where was he when Shahid Kareena got separated and now Shahid roaming around like a Khula Saand?) He advises Jai to go back to his Holy Grail and make up for the lost moments. He exemplifies pain of separation by pitching in his own Love Story (Blast from the Past) lets see how: Here, Saif plays Veeru’s Jawani days ka role! And gracious Harleen Kaur who punctures Veeru’s heart will remind you of Ms Koirala from 1942- Love Story. “Fir Harleen Veeru ka Dil har leti hai”. And he cycles around the town after her rickshaw. She also starts liking this lad. But while this eyeing flings from either side was still on, Harleen is suprisingly betrothed. He confronts her about his love and reach out to her in front of her relatives. But, Banta Singh (Harleen’s father) couldn’t stand the sight of this and he beats the love out of him. Fact is that Love is an abstract noun, it just cann’t be touched. So, Veeru take a leap to the next level. He reaches out to Harleen’s marriage venue and - sabki aankhon ke neeche se usko vatkaa ke le jaata hai!! This story fuels up Jai and he realizes that he misses company of Meera and he on being suggested by Veeru, goes to India where Meera has gone to work. There after some fooling around they both realizes that they still have few cherub’s effects. After the time they got separated, Jai got hooked up with a Firangin and Meera with Rahul Khanna. She eventually marries Rahul but realizes that "Kuch Phansa hua hai- Jai se mil ke clear karna hai" And she says Sorry Bhai to Rahul.. Midway on this retreat she discovers that Jai is closer to his career goal so she balks and become Meerabai. Jai who returned to UK and was so happy that he has finally achieved success by being a part of Golden Globe, later melts out and discover that his pursuit of happyness is vague without Meera. So, he whines out and rushes back to India, only to discover that Meerabai is still NOT OUT! All ends well with a song. Also, we discover that Harleen withers away to become Neetu Auntie.

Recommendation: YES Out of 71 reviews (excluding mine) that have been posted here on the same movie Love Aaj aur Kal, only few disapproves of the movie. And, I feel I am part of the majority too but watch it on TV only.

Moral and Morale: Love knows no boundries only if you have guts to cross them. Love is an indelible feeling etched onto your heart. Love is the only morale booster in life.

As if someone is listening: Wow! the movie ended. Thanks Heaven... By the way! May I ask something? Where is the LOVE in this movie? Why the songs were inserted so abruptly and absurdly? Why Banta hates Santa? Aaj Din Chadiyaa is really so beautiful song... Do hear it. Do not watch movie until it appears on Sony or Set Max. You need not bother about money circulation. RBI is there naa!
