Story:

There are young lads who admit in the friends circle that they like older women or aunties as is called. And there are older/men women who adore rather lustfully the younger ones. But these are the intimate desires any person has which is easily suppressed in most cases either due to societal concerns or due to an amalgamated feeling of conjuring to ethics or giving away due to sheer cowardice.

Lolita is one such story of a 40+ person who fantasizes to have intimacy with the ''nymphets'' or girls with the age group of 9 to 14.

Humbert Humbert is a lost man.Lost in the love of his childhood friend whom he later calls his first ''love''.For a person who had desired to opulate with his childhood love, and could not achieve that, the unsatisfied desire grows in him and he looks for his desire in Dolores/Lolita.He marries Dolores' mother ,secretly keeping an eye on Lolita.Becomes her sole guardian at one point of time and travels with her fulfilling his desires.what happens next is a sad story. It is sad because a reader may think what Humbert is doing is wrong, yet what Lolita does at the end is not right either.

Seems like a book written by a pervert?.The beauty of the book lies in the way in which Vladimir blends humour and sadism.Though it deals with sexual intricacies of an assumedly ''pervert'' person ,the language is quite lucid and the character is humanized. We feel sorry for Humbert, though what he does is an unforgivable act and is denounced by most people. Its not Lady Chatterley's lover nor is it the work of Nancy Friday. The way the acts of pleasure is described is surely a work of the genius for there are no words which can be termed vulgar. If so called 'pornographic' writing can be classified as art , then it has to be Lo-Lee-Ta.

To Conclude

Read this book, its comic , its sad,its good, its bad.Its what one does not usually find in any of the good or the 'bad' books
