'Reforms with human face' is how monmohan described his govt agenda when he took up his role as prime minister. And the subsequent actions taken by them, including the budget has shown that the govt is keen on continuing reforms relating to capitalistic structure of economy but still want to do something for the poor. It is good to see that govt have an agenda of its own (may it be anything) inspite of its coilation restrictions.
The previous govt has also put up a good show when it comes to living its agenda- to reinstall nationalistic feelings in the people (be its education policy or its other measures) and to carry on reforms and build good infrastructure. Again this too inspite of being a coilation. My point is lets not go into whether pursuing nationalism is good or not or to what extent it is good. What I want to see is govt stated its agenda and lived it up. When govt. Stick to their ageda it will be easy for people to judge it based on what it stands for.
It is good to see in this coilation age that govt's are having their agendas rather than being mere oppurtunistic coilations getting the required numbers to form a govt. One thing the national parties have understood with vajpayee's first govt is that if you go on listening to all your smaller patrners neither you can show what you are for nor the partners will be satisfied and at any point of time they will have unfulfilled wish list.
The catch is to take hold of the situation and do what you want to stand for.The smaller parties will follow you.
