I have been drinking tea my whole life and the tea of choice has always been Lipton. I have tried other brands that left something to be desired, like a tea taste. Most of the time it’s just colored water.
Living in the south where it’s summer more months that not you want something that will cool you down and keep you refreshed, especially on those days it gets to 105 degrees and there doesn’t seem to be any relief in sight. I usually make a couple of gallons of iced tea. Sweetened for my husband and unsweetened for me. While water does work in keeping you hydrated and cool there are times you want something different and that is where the Lipton Tea comes into play.
When made into iced tea it’s brisk, crisp and very refreshing, cools the body down and provides the liquid you need to keep you from becoming dehydrated during those very hot days of summer.
Lipton makes its teas from the finest black pekoe and orange pekoe teas, which makes for a very well balanced tea. It isn’t too strong or too weak. You can adjust the strength of the tea you are brewing by adding more tea or taking away. Just follow the directions on the back of the box for the beginner.
I use my coffeepot for making iced tea. I have used the microwave also but find the coffeepot is much easier. If you add sugar, do it when the tea is still hot so it will dissolve better then finish with adding ice. When ice is added in the glass the tea is already cool and you don’t have to worry about getting a watered down drink.
The green teas and some of the black teas have claims that they are good anti-oxidants for helping in preventing certain cancers. While I personally don’t know if this is true I do know that those of us in the south love out iced tea, even in the winter months.
Lipton is truly one of the finest brands you can buy. While costing a little more their product is consistent. You don’t have to worry every time you buy a box if you are getting quality.
When you open the box of Lipton Tea you can smell the clean scent of the tea. Their tea doesn’t have other things mixed with it so you aren’t left wondering what you are drinking.
When going to the store just look for the red and yellow box with Lipton written on the front. You can purchase the tea in bags or loose. One cup size bags up to a gallon size bag. They seem to have something for everyone.
Lipton also makes some nice flavored teas for those days you just want something different.
