CISCO is the world leader in Networking. Their fully owned subsidiary is mainly into WIFI and the likes. They have presense in India as well now. Linksys products are no doubt good and easy to install and use. But when it comes to support then they pass defect parts to you. Thereafter they simply dont respond to you, nor attend to it.
Even if you try and communicate with their seniors then the juniors dont listen to their written instructions. The company is very bad with its support with the basic idea that as they a US based company, so they try and follow the same policy here as well - use and throw. They want the user to throw away the unit purchased after it gives a problem instead of giving them a good spare.
Now that works out pretty costly if you see. The dealers/distributors are pretty rude over phone which makes you feel bad after you speak to them. The company will soon loose market share to D-Link and Netgear who are atleats polite. DLink stuff is said to be comparable in quality though I have not had the experience to use them. So if you are buying a Linksys Wifi Router then be sure that if your adapter burns down then you are heading for trouble. If they sell to you a new adapter then it burns down within an hour of running.
