Everybody knows that this is going to be made into a movie.
I had not completed a book in the past three attempts. Every time I bought a book I would suspend it after reading only 10 pages to see it go stale.
This time when I had been to the bookstore in KL I had to get the right book so that I could enjoy and not waste money. I started flipping through the pages of the life of Pi and it turned out that it was in an Indian setting, was talking sense when it talked about the God stuff and mentioned education and the interesting sloth.
Because it became more and more interesting, I bought it and was to be at home wondering how the Canadian would get about India and make it captivating.
It turned out that for 5 long hours I was with the book reading with delight, suspense and with all excitement. In the end I was almost sweating, and ahoy, what it turned out to be in the end is what happens when you know how Pi changes from a homely boy to what you can find out.
Unlike other books, I cannot describe much about the book but suggest reading the book before the person next door reads and tells you the story.
A word of caution: When one animal eats the other it turns repulsive, nevertheless, it helps building the story.
