I'm here to share my experience with LG G PAD. “LG? No” “No updates” “No support” “No brand value” “Don’t waste your money” these were the statements that I heard from everyone when I approached for tablet PC suggestions.

Still I didn’t compromise with my mind and decided to buy this monster. Finally destiny decided that “I was not wrong” yes this tablet is amazing! All those who criticized me for going with LG were stunned at what it does.

Please refer to the Specifications that are mentioned above if you are not aware of it. G Pad’s rounded corners and mismatched bezels are thin on the sides, slightly wider on top and bottom this make the device easy to hold in any orientation.

The 8.3-inch displays makes a huge difference compared to Nexus 7. The G Pad experience is almost like an iPad air. Display has a great depth in every color with great viewing angels. I hail the ips+ hd display technology that LG has embedded in this monster at 1080 p resolution.

It has a 5 MP camera that captures photos at 2592 x 1944 and 1080 p videos at 30 fps. There's also a 1.3 MP front-facing camera that shoots 720 p videos. But I don’t care for camera as I have a DSLR with me every time, to be frank g pad camera has disappointed me a bit.

After sometime I came to know that all tablets are not specially designed for camera use. So as I don’t use much I'm not worried. I do a lot of browsing on my g pad. I have installed chrome, dolphin, UC browser and never ever I have faced a problem like hanging crashing or anything. Browsing experience was always smooth and cool. It almost gives a PC or laptop browsing experience.

LG’s has added a lot of options in its skin. If you are new to lg it would at least take a week to explore all external and internal hidden features. Though it looks a bit sluggish the customisable options will give us a great experience.

Overall for looks I would prefer Samsung’s touchwise and for options LG is awesome. There are some additional features where we can’t find them in other brands for example (Knock ON) is such a fantastic feature it allows you to double tap on screen to wake up or sleep tablet. (Remote IR) amazing and funny with this option I can control electronics in my home (television, air conditioner) most admiring part is that even the electronics are of other brand they work like a charm.

I said funny because I use this when my mom and granny stick to serials on TV. I keep on changing even they hide TV remote. (Quick Memo) I don’t have words for this great innovation, it helps me from the day beginning till the day ending. Simple notes on screen which appears with a single tap. (Q Pair) you can pair up with your smartphone to receive calls and messages on your tablet, though the tablet doesn’t have sim card option.

I have a lots and lots of stuff encrypted with my g pad. It has 16 GB internal memory which handles my apps and games and I have expanded with 64 GB SD card where all my other stuff (movies songs books photos videos) are stored. Reading and writing the memory from ad card was always great. G pad never compromises about performance. It stood top every time whenever I tested it with tough tasks. It plays a 1080x1920 resolution movie flawlessly. Real racing game which is one the best HD game runs very smoothly. Multitasking was always been great with G pad.

Snapdragon 600 chipset with four Krait 300 cores clocked at 1.7GHz, with 2GB of RAM and the Adreno 320 GPU delivers unmatched performance with any android app or HD game.(True Beast)

G Pad features a non-removable 4600mAh battery. Battery performance has been quite impressive with normal stuff like reading books.

Once charged, would get you around 2 days with normal usage.Gaming always heats up the tablet and the battery runs within 5 to 6 hours. Video playback also consumes lot of battery. Overall battery is good.

“Value for Money” is the word that I use for this monster. Though it is still not available in India I have requested my friend to get me this while he was coming from US. Finally for my 20000 bucks G Pad is impressive and adorable. (Please watch the video)
