INDIA'S first 5 star rated Semi Auto Wash Machine. Review on LG 9545R 3S5

As the title of my review explains itself what all this review is all about.Well with the summers temp reaching well over 40 degrees in the northern part of India one should now brace itself for the usual power outages.Erractic power supply had already costed our nation billions of loss in productivity.So,considering that in mind I recently bought a semi automatic washing machine which should be efficient & reliable.

I zeroed in on this new model which I came across the website of BEEthat stands for Bureau of Energy Efficiencyestablished under Govt of India to promote energy efficient products across different market segments.I shall be mentioning all the good stuff about the product under various headings:-

Why choose Semi Automatic over fully automatic:-Considering the unique Indian habits and local enviroment one should always go for the semi automatic washing machines as we Indians have big families & limited resources coz we have to sustain over 17 percent of the global population(1.2 billion)

Wise decision has to be made for the long run.Semi automatics use less water & are more efficient in terms of detergent usage.Furthur they have much bigger capacity tubs to wash clothes at one go.

Built Quality:- LG the no 1 in home appliances in India has no doubt set a industry standard for the best quality.From packaging to plastics all in all LG scores top marks.The attachments & the manual is well packed and instructions in hindi language is also there in the manual.

First wash:- I got my washing machine delivered at the doorstep @ 8:00 PM n straight away I started with washing my laundry of last 15 days.In first wash I dropped all my white clothes and with soak @ wash combo of 40 min I was done.All whites came out glowing,some areas were a bit dirty like collars @ cuffs ,frm which I removed stains with mild brushing.All in all the machine performed well over my expectations.

Capacity & Energy consumption:- The single wash capacity of the machine is 8.5 kgs of dry weight of clothes.It comes with 5 star rating ,that means it is the most efficient machine in terms of power consumption.One need not to worry about the electricity bills.

Functions:- It comes with easy to understand manual & it took me 5 minutes to study all the functions and parts of the machine,graphical representation of the parts is also there.It can wash in three modes strong,gentle,normal.Timer can be set according to the stains and soak option is also present.In this the machine runs for 1.5 minutes and remain still for 5 minutes,cycles is repeated for 30 minutes so the detergent gets the time to act on the fabric and enzymes act on the stains to make them weak.

Spin & rinse function makes this wonder an all rounder amoung all semi automatics.

Sales & Service:- This is the 4rd LG product which I have purchased,first was a twin door Refrigerator,2nd a semi automatic,3rd a DVD player.All products are functioning well and I still have to call a service personnel.I hope I should not require his service in future.

Verdict:-In the end I want to conclude that I have made a wise decision of adding this wonderful gadget to my home.Although it is 2000 INR more expensive than any other semi automatic but I shall be saving a lot of detergent,water,electricity and not to forget the peace of mind which comes with an LG product.For me this is the Product of the year 2011 without doubt.
