Lesa lesa
A priyadarshan film, which is due its release in a couple of weeks The music album was released around 4 months ago I guess and the release of the movie just seems to be getting postponed The movie’s background score credit goes to Harris Jayraj, from whom we last heard in ‘minnale’(or RHTDM) remember the haunting, scintillating ‘vaseegara’ (or Bombay jaishree with zara zara). Yup that was from the house of Harris Jayraj. A R Rahman was the one composer who I thought really knows the pulse of the crowd.
From chandralekha in thiruda thiruda to o re chori in lagaan he is a master. Here emerges yet another super composer. That’s precisely what I thought when I heard the music of this film lesa lesa.
The album: lesa lesa
Song: Mudal mudalai
Sung : yugendran.
A total foot tapping dance number. It makes you put on your dancing shoes and shake more than just a leg. It is very catchy and will make you keep chanting those two words for the rest of your day.
Song: Lesa lesa
Sung: anuradha sriram
Pure melody. That is all I can say about the song. It has
this surreal feel about it. Totally romantic and very very soothing. Soft instrumental melodies, make you lay down on the couch and enjoy the song. A lovely love song. Anuradha sriram does a darn good job. There is a saxophone bit in this, which quite literally transports you to never never land. The stanzas are beautifully composed and sung.
Song: Ulaga azaghi
Sung: karthik
A male counterpart of the above song(the two of them are different though). A fabulous song. A very smooth one that must be relished in a moving car.(prefab: luxury car, long drive, just you, your loved one and the music). It is a very romantic song. It is a celebration of the guy’s love. He speaks of her beauty and goodness. Mushy but nonetheless, superb. Any girl would want the love of her life to sing it or her. It does have a slight concert feel to it(sound wise). It is composed of a great blend of a lot of Indian instruments with contemporary sounds and synthesizers. I mean you can get a little of tabla and veena and the rhythm and beat of the song that altogether will assuredly get your foot tapping. A classic song.
Tanglish songs
These are the just innovated tamil+English songs
song:Eani pollave
Sung:chitra, suchitra
The singing bird of the south chitra sings about the wind. A very zest filled song. Another dance number. This must be heard while going for picnics with pals. Very pleasant to listen to.
Song: Anandam
Sung:tippu,karthik,premji
The second tanglish song. This is a hotch potch of rap, pop and tamil melody. This is the kind of song that will make you laugh. Another dance number, hip and very foot tapping.
Song: Edo ondru
Sung:harish raghaventra
What a song!!!!!! Wow I did save the best for the end. This is THE best song o the album. A completely Romeo song, has a guy speaking of all that he would do for his love. The song begins with vague matka and violin sounds. As the song unfolds in your ears, you will find the prelude, the interlude, the chorus stanzas and the intermediate music all different from the other. They have all been intermingled together so skillfully! Simply superb. There is a line in which he says “Ullahi, ullahi, llahi” It is like the ‘nagila nagila’ of ‘kadal sadugudugudu’ That is just simply awe….some.
Overall the music of this album is brilliant and venturing into its purchase will assertively not be injurious to you mind body and soul.
