Leo Packers & Movers India Ltd has gone down the drain in my opinion. I have used their services twice in the past and it had been quite good but this time around, it was a disaster. Even as I write, my luggage (15 cartons) which left Mumbai on 30th April has not reached Gurgaon (today is the 12th day)
The delay is one thing - but I was more appalled by the quality of the service done. When I first called the Mumbai office, they sent one person by the name of Mr. Mandar - he carried the attitude of 'know it all'and even snubbed me and my family members and did not allow us to talk. Anyway, he gave an exorbitant estimate and went away. I therefore contacted Agrawal Packers and got a better quote and so gave them the business. However due to some meeting before May day (1st May), they called back and informed me that the movement would be delayed by a day, which is when I again contacted Leo and negotiated the rates and a person by the name of Yogesh gave me a price that I had got with Agrawal. I agreed and I was told that the packers would be there by 8 AM the next day, to which I responded that they could arrive by 10 AM.
Little did I know about the ordeal I was about to go through. Leo sent one man in Leo uniform and a sidekick (so total just 2 packers) to pack my stuff. Also they arrived at 12.30 and immediately went for lunch and came back around 1.30 PM. Then they went beserk with the whole packing process. They hurriedly looked at all the things and started packing in a rapid pace with the result that they just kept filling boxes after boxes without any planning and in the end they just started shoving things even without packing them. I also saw later that though they had got plastic bins (in which they are supposed to pack crockery and other breakable items) they never used it. They put everything in a cardboard cartons. To cut the story short, by the time we finished it was midnight and it was heavily tiring for me and my family since we had to help put things in the boxes. I had only limited days and so I had to finish the packing that day (i had to handover the flat to somebody else). Next the truck that arrived was not a Leo truck but a contracted one who had an uncouth driver.
I can really go on and on but in short Leo has completely transferred from a professional company to something like a local transporter. Their people don't even care to call back. They don't care about updating you with information - nothing!
I am never going to use these people again nor refer them to anybody I know.
