I had engaged this company for shifting of goods from Bangalore to Gurgaon. They showed the credentials of Rahul Dravid, Dr. Kalam and many more, which provided me the confidence to engage them. But I forgot that I was just a common man.
They promised to be at my home to do the packing at 10 AM, no one turned up until 12.30 PM. Started packing and then had a shortfall of packing material, which arrived after a 2 hours break. By the time the packing finished it was 9.30 PM. Me and my family were totally exhausted. The goods reached on time, but then the washing machine was damaged, which got repaired after umpteen calls to Mr. Dilip Shah and Mr. Jigar Shah. That too they arranged through a local person.
At the time of negotiation they asked us to insure our goods at full value, later we realised it's a pretext of making extra money. They do not provide any terms and conditions of what all is covered in Insurance and no insurance document was provided.
The sofa varnish was damaged and the dining table and other knobs were broken. They had the courage to say that all these small damages are not covered in Insurance and we should get it done on our own and the attitude is such that " you can do whatever you want"
I am posting this reveiw to ensure that noone else falls into such traps and at the time of negotiations should negotiate and take in writing small detail.
