On 25 May 2020, I had visited the Lenskart showroom in Dwarka Sec 12 for new glasses. Very few shops were operational during that time due to COVID-19 pandemic and limited business hours assigned to each shop. So I went shopping around 3 p.m. in which chances were high that the shop is opened.
The representative followed the safety procedures by first measuring my temperature and then provided sanitizer to sanitize my hands. He also gave plastic hand gloves. Representatives were allowing only limited customers(2-3) inside the showroom at a time. They were telling them to wait outside and wait for their turn. Later, the frames which I tried kept separately in a different container box to sanitize prior re-use.
I chose a frame(Model VC 5882, PID - 136147) from Vincent Chase brand as frames of this brand are cheapest in Lenskart and my prime concern is glass as well as eye comfort. Power Number of glasses was taken from my existing frame which I was wearing at that time. My number is stable so I chose to remain stick with the same and not doing any eye test.
For glasses, I chose Blu lens, the latest lens available at Lenskart, which provides strain-free vision if using the computer for a long time. Further, Lenskart offered a membership program of Rs.600 for 2 years. By paying Rs.600 as membership, I was allowed to take one more frame along with glasses at the same price. Considering a better deal, I availed of the membership. Also, my family members and friends can use my membership. I paid around Rs. 4670 for two specs along with the membership fee. (2nd frame details: VC 5881, PID – 136606)
Product delivered at my residence within 3 days of order. One frame was comfortable and the other was not properly adjusted with glasses(Model VC 5882). I was not comfortable with the vision so I went back to Lenskart shop. They first tried to fix that frame but didn’t succeed, and later offered me to replacement. I opted for a change and chose a new frame(VC E11792, PID – 134840). Product delivered on 5th day after the order. I am satisfied with a new frame. It looks like an aviator so personally, I liked it better than other available frame models.
Overall experience is good, of course not the best as I had to pay a visit more than once. The quality of glasses and frames are satisfactory. I would recommend my friends, family, and colleagues to visit Lenskart shop for glasses.
Personally, I don’t prefer online shopping for glasses because I have to be sure about the frame which I buying. Frame width, weight, and exact color also matter.
