Over the years a lot of people have suggested me to switch from lenovo to hp, dell etc considering Lenovo is Chinese company and doesn't boast of a very good after sales support.
However I've stuck with lenovo for my own reasons, primarily for the fact the products itself are great even if lenovo is still struggling to hold its own in after sales dept. Lenovo was the first laptop I bought over 6yrs back, when it was time for change I went for lenovo again after a lot of market research. I decided to invest my hard earned money in lenovo ideapad Z580 59-333346 (white). I wanted to go for something that looked like a mac but wasn't mac since I love windows. And this model just did the job. It's sleek, beautiful looking, power packed and perfect choice for an average user who wants a bit of everything - gaming, entertainment, movies, art, business utility etc.
So why choose lenovo? I've personally used hp and lenovo, and among both lenovo lasted way more than HP. My hp work laptop started having issues within 6 months of purchase while my lenovo laptop lasted a good 6yrs (and still usable with not extra ordinary, but decent specs of 1 GB RAM and 160GB HD) and still going alright. My new lenovo laptop is intel i5, x64 and was decently priced at 41, 000 in comparison to competitors.
The picture quality on this laptop is really amazing and the usual issue of low sound output in lenovo laptops seems to have been taken care of in this model. It comes with wealth of features like one touch recovery, usb 3.0, low noise, dolby surround sound and lots more you can find at any specs page if you google this model. My personal experience has been great so far; my laptop looks sturdy and functions well. Battery back up is also great, and noise from fan is pretty much non existent. Watching movies on it is a great experience and all in all it can provide all the needs I have for a laptop.
My only disappointment was that lenovo sold this model pre-installed with windows 7 home basic, which is a useless version of windows 7 since it doesn't even have the most USP feature of windows 7 - rotating desktop images and aero themes.
