Most of the frequent travellers in India would know that in Bangalore it is very difficult to get a hotel room. I should consider myself lucky to get a room in Le Meridien, which I heard was one of the best hotels in the city.
Located bang opposite the gold course it has a calm and clean look from outside. The entrance and lobby is very spacious. In the night the entrance steps are all lit-up with cool blue lights. You feel like walking into a spaceship.
I was impressed with the ambience. My check-in was handled extremely quick and I was shown to the room on second floor. This hotel has a latest security system. You get a special key. Only using this key you can go upstairs using elevator. That means no intruder could get access to the floors upstairs.
I was on the Club floor and my room was a 'Executive Suite' written on the door. Wow ! I thought.
I entered the room and was really amazed with the interiors. It was one of the most executive styled room I had seen or stayed. The room was spacious. It had two balconies, with wooden and glass door and curtains to match. It had a very smart workdesk and a nice chair. The room was equipped with modern telephone set and a wide angle plasma TV screen.
I would also like to mention that the toilet accessories were really of high-quality.
The hotel has a 24-hour coffee shop, a restaurant (sorry I forgot the name) and the hotel also boasts about the only F.TV (Fashion TV) approved lounge in India. Unfortunately it was under renovation. At times it holds live fashion shows - I really missed that.
Room rate wise, it was expensive but then all the hotels in Bangalore and expensive. I thought this one was a really value for money.
