Lavasa is a man made hill station city. The construction done is really good and the city looks really beautiful. The place is really good for a photo shoot with your friends.
you can go to Lavasa only by road. There are no other way available. A car or bike would be a good option as there are many different spots you can go and they are not exactly at a walking distance.
There is nothing as such as sightseeing. You can see the city and click pictures at many great spot. But there are not any such attraction as this city itself was built as a attraction. But you can still have a good time as this place is built very nicely and you can have good time hanging out with your friends.
Hotels and accommodation here are very expensive. As this place is quite isolated and there are no other ways to get anything, everything in this place is over-priced. It literally puts a hole in your pocket. This also make sit a bit upsetting as something as simple as water bottle or tea or wada pav is also very expensive. I would recommend that if you are going to go to Lavasa pack a picnic. Bring your own supplies and make a day out of it because the hotels and restaurants are very expensive.
I haven't heard of any safety incidents concerning Lavasa. But as I always advice is that you follow basic safety precautions such as don't leave your belongings unattended, be aware of your surroundings.
