Oh Yes...Shakira is the next best Latino Sensation after Enrique...and boy her numbers are full of soul.The only 'hip-shaking' number present in the Album Laundry Service is 'whenever wherever' which has already become a rage in Discs and TV Channels throughout India.The latin version is incorporated too.
The album comprises a total of 13 songs with 9 in English and rest in Latin.Shakira is'nt yet another Britney clone which is but evident from the mature and soul-stirring stuff she has crafted in this album.My fave is in fact ''Underneath your clothes''...will take several repeats to get the actual gist of this song and then boy u will hum it or what!
Other Superb Numbers are of course Whenever Whenever , Objection and Fool.There are 3 latin nos. which have extremely catchy beats...
When I bought the CD it was priced a hefty 345 bucks but a week later the guys at Sony slashed the price and it now sells for 200 something bucks.
Something tells me she will give Britney and Co. a run for their money very soon...!
