Hi !Avina,
Just read your review on Lakme Lip colour.
At Rs.145/- its surely an expensive cosmetic !!!
I don't know whether in cosmetics, this is a normal price.
But it surely sounds expensive,if the product is not worth it.
I remember reading a report in The Economic Time today morning, that Lakme is now going to concentrate on '' churning out beauty concoctions only for upper crust Sec A and B1 Indian women''.
According to one of their business head, Lakme is acquiring a premium focus, do you believe in what this guy says?
I suppose this is a top end product, at quite a good price, and this is what these multinationals wants to give us, a product which will ''compete with
imported & domestic products, both in terms of price & quality '' for ''the top 10 million women in India''.
Yes,Lakme can compete in prices, but what about quality ?????
Surely this is not expected from one of the oldest cosmetic brands in the country.
Why are we being taken for taken for a ride by these big corporations.
Why should be fritter away our hard earned money for a sub-standard product.
Lets hope the market forces and the consumers force such companies to give us products worth the quality & price.
Meanwhile, keep writing.
Thanks
A.B
