Friends I live in Kolkata, in the area of Behala which is nearly 5 kilometres away from the Rashbehari where the mall ( Lake Mall) is situated and I visit this mall more or less 3-4 times in a week.
First of all I would say the mall is very tiny and it's very difficult for the car visitors to park their cars in the mall region beacuse the parking slot is too much small or in spacious and only two wheelers visitors have the opportunity to park their bike conveniently, but the car visitors fells in a lot of trouble to visit in the mall.
The mall has very few customer attractive store that means only a few stores or region gets the priority in the mall, which are Big Bazar, located in the first floor as well as the second floor of the mall, Mall's 60-70% of the customer comes to shop from the Big bazar, Big bazar is very famous and busy shopping center in the mall.
The second one which is preferably choosed by the customers to visit the mall, that is the Mall's Food court which is located in the fourth floor of the mall, the food court also gets very busy during the evening time, In the daytime the food court runs with a minimal amount of customers.
The food court has mostly veg food counters, only 1-2 counters are there where you can have some non-veg dishes.
The very usual food you can have in this food court which are also available in the outside shops or food center, like you can have Egg roles, Chowmin, Egg toast, Coffee, Cold drinks, cakes, pastry, Momos, some mostly common chicken items, Sharbat, Biriyani etc. .
The fact is the price of the foods are extremely high here and the only reason of charging high for the foods are; you can have a lobby to sit here and have some chats with your friends and you can spend 1-2 quality hours sitting over here.
For some foods you are charged here, 2-3 times high of their normal prices.
The food court is very much overpriced and overrated also.
And the next thing which is prioritised in the mall, which is the Cinepolis: The multiplex with the six screens.
A good amount of customers comes to watch the movies here.but in the weekdays the numbers of the visitors are very poor, in the weekend, the multiplex gets some crowd.
Again extremely charged for the foods available inside the multiplex, and you can't take the outside foods inside the theatre.
Apart from these three center, Mall's others shopping center doesn't get too much of attention from the customers, they run very lazily in the mall.
Some big foreign brand shoppings centers are also available in the mall like American touristers, Brandfactory etc. But then gets no much attention from the public.
Altogether, this is not a large shopping mall, the mall can be called as a shopping center or complex instead.
You can visit the mall only for the three purposes which I did tell to you.
Apart from those there are nothing extraordinary to visit the Lake Mall ( Kolkata) .
