When romantic stories crowd our options to watch a ''Movie'', and each of them ending up in a BIG FLOP, Lagaan was launched. There is no point in discussing its huge success. Never have I seen a great movie as this one. The most mature, definitive product of Bollywood's genius', the movie is great blend of creativity, plot and acting
When I got to know about the plot for the first time, I was much taken aback. But there was something that made me go and watch the movie.
After watching it, I was just stunned. Such a plot ... A TOTALLY DIFFERENT PLOT. The only thing I asked myself was ''Is it Bollywood that has made ''Lagaan''?''.
''It is a cricket match'' - a very common comment by men.
But I strictly oppose it. The way the things were brought in to the story was simply ''BRILLIANT''.
The inability of the villagers to pay the Tax forced them to ask for a favour from the English.
The proud English's ignorance and arrogance made them offer a ''Stupid'' and almost ''Impossible'' task for the out-of-the world villagers.
The centiment that led ''Bhuvan'' to agree to it, was a great triumph of Aamir Khan both as an actor and a director.
This part was great. The process of learning was great, with The involvement of the British woman.
Rest is ''AAPNI DESHKI ...''. The soil wont betray its children and they had to ''win''.
The rain had to come.
I LOVED THE MOVIE.....and expect every Indian to love it...
