It’s surprising that YRF is promoting such a young couple like Anushka-Ranveer, but since they have such an old hand to back them, every single one comes out a winner. So, YRF is cashing in hard on the chemistry of the young couple, and almost every year they have a mini, low budget release that does extremely well at the BO.
But their main standing is the script. Even though conventional, commercial and masala, these films possess a contemporary touch to them. So, it’s true that men and women keep conning each other in the name of love, and this is how they do it. And the bottom-line of every relationship, whether true or conned is money. So, some get conned out of respect, some out of pride, and mostly all out of money!
Ladies is a good masala movie with a very serious message for the youth. We never knew in our times that people fell in and out of love for money, but now, since the message is out in the media, everyone knows, and despite the message, people will continue loving, cheating, conning, and playing ruthless and meaningless games of one up-manship.
Between the YRF banner, and the KJo banner, I wonder who’d win, but with this hot, new couple, YRF has again proven his superiority in film making leaving his contemporaries far behind in the art of movie making.
After Band Baja Barat, this movie is another feast for the senses. Thug le, the song is simply foot tapping, and for once, Northies are painted well in our society, what’s more, in a collective sense!
The story in the movie is a winner, so are the supporting cast, the costumes, the locations, and of course, the lead couple. The songs are good too, but I have a point to make. In case, they speak in Punju, there should be a translation for all people to understand, coz not many people know the colloquial dialect of Delhi.
And last, but not the least, thank you so much for shifting the center of attraction from Sobo to New Delhi, as seriously, nothing happening happening here!
