In the novel "Ladies coupe", we come across different women characters who are either exploited, dominated, alienated from themselves or the outside world by the patriarchy. Anita Nair offers the perspective of those women and their lives by showcasing various aspects of their lives, how the society delimits and suppresses them at various levels and at various stages.We have five women who share their struggles with the protagonist. Each of these five ladies are of different ages , they take various responsibilities , they feel unaccepted, unloved, exhausted for various issues from their family members.The protagonist seeks to find answers to the most recurring question in her life which is "Can a woman live her life alone without a man".She tries to answer this by taking a train journey which at the end we observe impacts her perspective and she undergoes a transformation.Earlier she was taken for granted by her family, but now she wishes to lead and live a life she dreamt of by taking action which is by taking her life into her hands.
