The great rann of kutch is the world's largest salt dessert that measures about 16, 000 sq kms of absolutely blinding whiteness .
Kutch is largest district of Gujarat.kutch is a paradise for cultural tourists worldwide with over 18 different tribes that live harmoniesly despite their varying languages, customs and traditions .while the jeep and camel safaris across the Run of kutch might be the greatest attractions in the area.
The place is heavenly. Its white every where you see.I went during ran utsav.Awesome time to be there. The area is very lively.
I went in December month with my friends and it was awesome moment when we reach as we were there during the sunset and yes you can see the change of phase of sun and surrounding from orange to red to white and in night it looks like white dome has if surrounded by white cloth. As you watch the horizon, small patches of water along the desert and birds perched around the water edges add to the effect.
Don't venture too far in the Rann though , a 200-300 meter walk of the pier offers good isolated experience and photo opportunities. Beyond this, the terrain is marshy and there are patches that are of the quicksand nature.
Desert area comes to live, its fun, lots of visitors, its fun as well as pain with hoards of people. Lots of shops with local stuff, food stalls, outdoor activities .
People Run to other countries for trips, complete India first.
India has such a variety available which remains un-noticed!
I can only say d words of Amitabh bachchan "Kutch nahin dekha to kuchh nahin dekha".
