Desirous of typing this public warning against the MAJOR FRAUD in the car modifiers world a.k.a. Karan shah of ks motorsports at the fort. He operates a small tuning business out of his papa's petrol pump in Daulat automobiles fort. It is one of many car modification shops in Mumbai. I had taken my car to ks motorsport for modifications and making it faster. The biggest mistake that I didn't ask other people as his reputation from the industry is poor. everyone has something to say to badmouth him. Before receiving all monies Karan was sweet and answering all my calls, replying to whats app. Karan suggested me to go for turbocharging, intercooler new ECU. I was also agreeable. What I didn’t know then was karats knowledge is entirely built of google. If any problem comes up, all he knows is how to google about it on his phone or his laptop. To make matters worse, he used the WRONG PARTS in my car!
Karan asked for full advanced payment saying he needs to pay off some personal loans he had taken on his credit cards. I said no and will pay as my car work progresses. After paying almost half of the cost upfront all delay tactics began. the scammer started avoiding calls not replying to my messages. Pt 1 is that he took 2 months more than was promised to turbo my car [total time taken 4 months]. Pt 2 in just 3 days after delivering my vehicle the engine started misfiring and overheating. I had gone with the family to the eastern freeway and even ola uber cabs were overtaking me. Immediately the car went back to his garage for 23 days. I should have wisely gone to some other garage although since I had already paid him I insisted he repair my car with him only.
ks motorsport originally promised me that the total quotation would be within rupees 2 lacs. the final bill was 3 ½ lakhs and I was left with a SLOW UNRELIABLE CAR. the joker should receive a prize for making a Toyota unreliable. lol, maybe the only person in the world to.
He asked for 45000 more saying so and so parts are needed. I dint had any option but to pay him. After the 2nd delivery and many more false assurances, the car was still misfiring and overheating. It was so jerky that my family was scolding me that I ruined the car. Another major problem was that my car dint feels much faster. The turbo boost was only coming in too late and the car was a HEADACHE to drive in the Sion area where I live. Again I went to ks motorsports to meet Karan. This time he said that my engine would need to be overhauled. WHAT! The car only had 35000 km done. Karan started begging and pleading saying that he will pay 50% of the cost as it was due to his idiotic mistakes and gave me a quotation of 1 lakh bucks. The next day I reached his garage in the morning and he had still not come. while waiting I saw all his mechanics were making fun of his poor knowledge of cars.
I was finally fed up with his stupidity and ignorance and took it to the dealership Madhuban Toyota Kurla to ask what is wrong. Their diagnosis was that Mr. google Karan shah had used the WRONG TURBO in my car which was incompatible. They also showed me the intercooler that ks motorsports had used and it was a 4-year-old part! KS MOTORSPORT PUT USED PARTS ON MY CAR.
ks motorsport still wanted more and more money. my father was so fed up with the neverending problems that he sold the car.
After I forwarded this nightmare experience to my friends, many others came forward on WhatsApp & Facebook telling me of how they have been cheated by Karan shah. Almost all of his modified cars are unreliable garbage. Ks motorsports reputation in Mumbai is that of fraud and cheat. his modifications business is actually making losses and he is only able to survive because of his daddy's petrol pump. all he does the entire day is watch youtube and Instagram.
AVOID THIS CHEAT KS MOTORSPORTS MR. GOOGLE EXPERT KARAN SHAH. The advice you to go to other reputable names such as n1 racing viper performance kiirus petes etc who knows how to actually modify cars, unlike this loser.
