MM MMMM good!
Kraft philadelphia cream cheese. I just love it!
Not only is it simply delicious, but it is also so versatile.
Philly (which is what we call it here in the US) comes in many types. A 4 or 8 oz. brick. An 8 oz container of soft easy spread. An 8 oz container of whipped.(my favorite of the 'plain' cheeses) It also comes in wonderful flavors like, strawberry, pineapple, veggie, chive and smoked salmon flavored.(my favorite of the flavors)
Each serving, which is about 2 tablespoons, contain approximately 70 calories,7 gm of fat, 20 mg cholesterol, 60 mg of sodium, 1gm of sugar and 1gm of protein.
OK OK OK...not the healthiest food in the world, but in moderation, not too bad.
Philadelphia Brand cream cheese was introduced in the United States in about 1870, in New York state. The name 'Philadelphia Brand' was chosen, because at that time most of the quality food products made in the United States were made in Philadelphia. So to let the public know that this cream cheese was of the highest quality they named it after the city known for the best.
It remained 'Philadelphia Brand' until the huge Kraft corporation bought it and put it's name in front, hence it became Kraft Philadelphia brand.
Last year Philadelphia Brand, earned The Kraft corp. approximately 1 Billion dollars!(US).
Myself, I can put 'Philly'' on almost anything. I love it on my peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Another of my favorites (probably NOT one of yours) is having it with bacon on toasted bread or having it on an egg salad sandwich, or just alone (especially the flavors) on any type of bread, roll or cracker.
It is excellent when making a cheese omelet or adding it to your favorite cheese cake recipe. I even add some when I'm making mashed potatoes. Yummy!

Kraft Philadelphia Brand cream cheese is available in over 50 countries so I don't think you'll have a problem finding it almost anywhere. And when you do find it and use it, you'll wonder why you didn't try it before. Happy eating!
