Filmkraft productions ''Koi Mil Gaya'' is said to be the first sci-fi bollywood movie. It is also assumed to be Hrithik Roshan come back movie. After ''no song in the movie'' funda tried and successfully put into effect by Ramu in Bhoot one can ask whether there is a need of songs in the so-called improving storylines...like Bhoot... Darna Maana Hai...KOI MIL GAYA? Maybe the basic Indian cinema can never change thats why the music directors and lyricists have a constant tough job on themselves. After the recent ''Dhing chika chik, dhing chika chik'' music in Qayamat by Nadeem Shravan I felt to turn to Rakesh Roshan's ''Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai'' for sometime and felt that ''Koi Mil Gaya'' may have some touch of it?
Music director Rakesh Roshan is said to be an artist who gives his best in Rakesh Roshan movies only and definitely he does not disappoints us. Lyricist Mr.Ibrahim did a great job as well. Udit Narayan, Adnan Sami, Alka Yagnik, Kavita Krishnamurti, Tez (sterio nation) and many others has sung very beautifully in all the songs they are made to sing. Many may not find the songs catchy like the ones in ''Chalte Chalte'' or ''Chura Liya Hai Tumne'' but definitely after the Qayamat Dhing chika chik which is also repeated in the forthcoming movie ''Footpath'' there are very less options to listen to good music. Another two more movies namely ''Tere Naam'' and '' Hungama'' do not leave you with satisfaction of a complete album. Their songs are good here and there but not all. And you definitely don't want to listen to ''Ek Pakistani Chehra'' from the movie ''Dil Pardesi Ho Gaya'' do you?
Well these movies don't stand in the same league as Koi Mil Gaya.... coz Koi Mil Gaya has all types of track except a sad one...and that maybe coz it's a fun movie.
Where ''Koi Mil Gaya'' and ''Idhar chala mein udhar chala'' have a romantic touch ''Jadoo Jadoo'' and '' En Panchiyon ko'' are simply fun songs. While ''It's Magic'' is just a dance number. This album does not have the hits like ''Ek pal ka jeena'' or ''Sitaron ki Mahfeel'' or ever-romantic ''Na tum jano na hum'' from ''Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai'' but it reminds you of the fantastic music of the blockbuster.
Over this entire movie has the ability to give some soothing sounds to your ears. Some people are find this album not appealing but there is an acute possibility of the songs picking up after the movie is released like in the case of ''Mein Prem Ki Deewani Hoon''
