Date of Travel: Sept 03, 2006. Place of Origin: Pune Destination: Mumbai Airport Time of pickup: 12 noon. Complaint Summary: This trip, although promised by KK Travels and the amount paid, never happenned. Complaint Detail: We had a booked a place in KK Travels vehicle - all the details are mentioned above. However, no vehicle arrived and I had to arrange my own transport to travel to Mumbai. Is not this a very frustrating experience and a simple case of cheating?
1) The ticket "terms and conditions" included a point that the pickup point will be informed 2 hours in advance. However, no such information was provided. I called KKTravels at 11 AM and they confirmed that a vehicle was put to service for this and it has already left for the pick-ups. Fine.
2) There was no sign of KK even at 12:30 pm. I called KK and was told that a Tavera, with number 5089 will pickup and this will be the last pickup point from Pune. Although a bit late, still ok.
3) 12:55 - still no sign, and I called again. In fact, I had called several times for the status for the next 20-25 mins.
4) I was told that the driver does not have a mobile. I think this is a blatant lie on the part of KK Travels.
5) No sight of KK even by 1:30 PM. I am led to believe that there is no vehicle arranged, and I have been cheated and hoodwinked. The above point number 4 only strenghtened the idea.
6) 1:45 PM and nothing still.
7) 1:55 PM - I start on my own. Now, can someone from KK please suggest, what should be my next step? I will get the refund - that is okay. But can anyone give me a reason for cheating me?
If we were living in a more civilized country, then, besides the refund, I would have asked KK Travels to bear the harrassment charges as well, which could run into some thousands.
