Well, its not exactly a manly bike, and I can't picture myself going to school on a zoom. The zoom I have right now is a friends and its brand new. I've driven a lot of other bikes/scooters so I can make some comparisons. All in all, the zoom is either for women or for older men, as it's not macho.

The initial pickup is not so great, but at around 10 km/h it really picks up and after that there's no looking back, it flies. I enjoy the exhaust note it gives out. The noise is also a good indicator of how much accelerator you are applying. Once is bike gets going, it dosen't make much sound at all, sice only a tiny bit of the accelerator is required to be pressed. The brakes are not that strong and I think it will take a hell of a force on the lever to make this thing skid. I couldn't get it to skid so far, which could be dangerous in an accident, when you need to brake.

The bike looks slender, not aggresive, no bulging parts, which is why it suits females more. The switchgear is of unbelivebly cheap quality. Switches feel like toys, it looks as if they are made from the same kind of plastic. Also the indicators don't retract by themselves, you have to manually push it back. No siren for indicators, so you don't know when its on. The headlights are good. Both brakes are at them front, since it has no clutch. This helps in applying them simultaneously. Which is harder to do on a bike. The stand and handle lock are easy to apply. Electric start is very conveinant, I always use it. One probelem is that you can't turn at high speed, you have to slow down completely, which is very annoying. The conclusion is that this bike is meant for gentle riders. Because there are no gears, and you can't turn fast, so once again its suited for women.
